UChicago and U.S. Army Research Laboratory cut ribbon on ARL Central

November 15, 2017 — The University of Chicago and the United States Army Research Laboratory held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the recently announced partnership between the organizations, and to observe Veterans Day with distinguished guests and elected officials.


Alumnus Eric Gleacher gives $10 million to fund scholarships for veterans at Chicago Booth

April 4, 2016 – University of Chicago Booth School of Business alumnus Eric Gleacher, MBA’67, has made a $10 million gift to his alma mater to fund a groundbreaking scholarship program for U.S. veterans seeking a Chicago Booth MBA.


UChicago community joins Tillman Foundation president at event honoring veterans

November 11, 2016 – Eli Feret is one of hundreds of veterans across the country whose education is a legacy of Pat Tillman, the late NFL player and Army veteran.

On Veterans Day, the MBA student at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business was among those who welcomed Tillman’s widow Marie to campus for an event to discuss military service, education and the life of Pat Tillman.


Veterans of UChicago community honored for service and sacrifice

November 25, 2015 – Military veterans have shaped the University of Chicago since its inception. Former University Presidents Harry Pratt Judson and Robert Maynard Hutchins were among them, as was alumnus John W. Rogers Sr., JD’48, who was one of the original Tuskegee Airmen.

Campus veterans donate artifacts, original works to exhibition

November 5, 2012 – To celebrate Veterans Day and recognize students, faculty and staff who have served in the armed forces, the Office of the Provost organized an exhibition at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts to feature poetry, letters, pictures, and donated materials from campus veterans.


UChicago veterans celebrated on Veterans Day for service to country

November 17, 2011 – Nearly 50 veterans and guests were in attendance for the University’s second Veterans Day Recognition Event, which is part of several initiatives sponsored by the University’s leadership and the Veterans Outreach Committee.
